Wystawa "Na ścieżkach duszy. Gustav Vigeland i rzeźba polska ok. 1900 roku"
Letnia wystawa w Muzeum Vigelanda w Oslo prezentuje po raz pierwszy w Norwegii liczną grupę polskich rzeźb powstałych na przełomie XIX i XX wieku obok prac młodego i nieznanego jeszcze wówczas Gustava Vigelanda.
Wystawa pokazuje prace Vigelanda w zupełnie nowym kontekście i naświetla nieznane szerzej relacje między słynnym norweskim rzeźbiarzem, a polskimi twórcami w początkach XX wieku.
Kontakty Vigelanda z Polską związane są z osobą polskiego pisarza Stanisława Przybyszewskiego (1868-1927), którego żoną była Norweżka Dagny Juel.
Przybyszewski w latach 1890tych obracał się w kręgach słynnego berlińskiego towarzystwa artystycznego skupionego wokół kawiarni Zum Schwarzen Ferkel, gdzie spotkał m.in. Edwarda Muncha i szwedzkiego dramaturga Augusta Strindberga. Mniej znanym elementem biografii jest przyjaźń Stanisława Przybyszewskiego i Gustava Vigelanda. Przybyszewski był pierwszym krytykiem, który w europejskiej prasie publikował artykuły poświęcone norweskiemu rzeźbiarzowi i jego pracom, prezentował także prace Vigelanda w Polsce.
Wystawa w Muzeum Vigelanda pokazuje rzeźby 11 polskich twórców m.in. Xaverego Dunikowskiego i B. Biegasa obok prac G.Vigelanda. Specjalnie na tę okoliczność z Polski przyjechało 28 rzeźb wypożyczonych z 7 polskich instytucji kultury. Projekt realizowany jest we współpracy Muzeum Vigelanda w Oslo z Muzeum Narodowym w Krakowie i finansowany ze środków Funduszu Wymiany Kulturalnej. Wystawie towarzyszy specjalnie przygotowany katalog z tekstami w jęz. polskim, norweskim i angielskim – do nabycia w Muzeum Vigelanda.
Uroczyste otwarcie z udziałem gości z Polski i Ambasadora RP w Oslo Wojciecha L. Kolańczyka miało miejsce w dniu 3 czerwca br.
Wystawa prezentowana jest w Muzeum Vigelanda do 22 sierpnia 2010. W letnie niedziele organizowane jest w muzeum zwiedzanie wystawy w towarzystwie historyków sztuki (szczegóły na stronie Muzeum Vigelanda).
